I am a coach. I am actually a coach! Boy, it feels good to say that… I’ve been doing this work for some time, but now I can legitimately say that I am a coach. And I am an effective coach that helps clients achieve results. Wow.

How did I get here? Well, I’ve always done a lot of mentoring and teaching, and about a year ago I decided to formalize my education in coaching. I sought out the most rigorous program I could find and ended up at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Executive and Professional Coaching graduate certificate program.

It’s been a rough year, but in some ways it couldn’t have been better timing to be in graduate school with a pandemic raging all around me, just locked in my home studying and practicing. It’s been a full year, and now I’m looking forward to pursuing certification at the PCC level (Professional Certified Coach) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I can’t wait to be able to expand my coaching practice with more free time to devote to it.
